Two Ripley residents die in car crash Monday afternoon

The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate a one vehicle car crash in Tippah County that claimed the life of two Ripley residents, according to Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Ray Hall.

Troopers were dispatched to the crash scene on MS 2, near Ripley, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Upon arriving, it appeared Rhonda Frenn, 47, of Ripley, was traveling west on MS 2, in a 2001 Ford Taurus, when she apparently control of the vehicle, left the roadway and collided into a tree.

Frenn and a passenger, Kayce E. Brazil, 34, of Ripley, both sustained fatal injuries in the crash and were pronounced dead on the scene.

Neither victim was wearing a seatbelt.

    Kayce Elizabeth Brazil was the most loving and lovely lady. She is missed more than anyone can ever know by all of us in her family. Her loss has been almost unbearable to her son Adam as well as all of us who loved her. She will always be in our hearts. By her great Aunt Lynette.
